Polygon staking services from Matrixed.Link.

Polygon PoS is one of the most widely used Ethereum scaling solutions, with thousands of decentralized applications depending on its low-fee, fast-finality environment for everything from payments to gaming to RWA pilots. Matrixed.Link operates a Polygon PoS validator, contributing to network security through the checkpoint-and-attestation model that anchors Polygon back to Ethereum. The validator set is capacity-limited, which makes operator selection a meaningful decision rather than a commodity one.

Why us

Why stake Polygon with Matrixed.Link.

Validator selection on Polygon is not about chasing the highest displayed APR. It is about who is actually operating the infrastructure when something goes wrong at 3am UTC.

  • 01 Active validator in Polygon's capacity-limited validator set
  • 02 Checkpoint reliability: missed checkpoints affect network security and operator reputation
  • 03 Coordinated with Ethereum operations team for shared upgrade context
  • 04 Documented monitoring across Heimdall and Bor clients
  • 05 ISO 27001 certified operations consistent with all other validator services
Process

How Polygon staking works.

01

Delegate POL to the validator

Token holders delegate POL (the upgraded MATIC successor) to the validator address through the Polygon staking dashboard or directly via contract.

02

We sign checkpoints and produce blocks

The validator participates in checkpoint signing on Heimdall and block production on Bor. We monitor both clients continuously and respond to incidents under documented runbooks.

03

Earn POL rewards with checkpoint participation

Rewards accrue based on checkpoint participation and block production. Delegators receive proportional rewards after validator commission.

Rewards & economics

Polygon rewards at a glance.

Approximate APR
~4-5%

Approximate. Polygon PoS staking rewards depend on total POL staked, checkpoint participation, and validator commission.

Reward frequency

Network economics

Polygon operates a capped validator set, so delegating to an established validator with consistent checkpoint participation matters more than chasing the highest yield.

Estimates only. Actual rewards depend on network conditions, validator performance, commission rates, and protocol changes. Live parameters can be confirmed on the verification links below.

What is the difference between MATIC and POL?
POL is the upgraded token that has replaced MATIC as Polygon's native asset, designed to support a broader Polygon ecosystem (zkEVM, AggLayer, future chains). Existing MATIC has been or is being migrated to POL based on the Polygon 2.0 plan.
How is Polygon staking different from Ethereum staking?
Polygon PoS uses a capped validator set with Heimdall (consensus) and Bor (execution) clients, anchored to Ethereum through periodic checkpoints. Ethereum staking uses a much larger validator set with 32 ETH per validator and no protocol-level cap. The operational profile is different even though both are proof-of-stake.
Is there an unbonding period for Polygon staking?
Yes. Unstaked POL is subject to an unbonding window before it becomes transferable. Current parameters are documented in the Polygon staking dashboard.
Can we use Polygon staking alongside Polygon CDK or zkEVM programs?
Yes. PoS staking is the entry point; our consulting team supports broader Polygon ecosystem programs (zkEVM deployments, AggLayer integrations, RWA pilots) on the same operational footing.
